Welcome to Nordic SUN 2024

Helsinki, Finland – November 5-6

Simulation User Network (SUN - RUN - FUN)

Få muligheden for:

  • Læring og vidensdeling via foredrag / hands-on læring

  • FUN - netværksmøde for førstehjælpsinstruktører

Cultural Diversity in Healthcare Teams: Clinical simulations as a tool and context

His research deals with the consequences and management of cultural differences in teams in different contexts, including health care. During his keynote, Timur will discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with culturally diverse teams in health care and will reflect on how simulations and simulated environments can alleviate some of these challenges and can allow to enhance the benefits of cultural diversity in these teams.

Utilizing Simulation as Cultural Catalyst

Simulation acts as a catalyst to exploring our cultural interplays, understanding our social dynamics and identifying our values as healthcare providers. By increasing an understanding of the complex nature of psychologically safe and inclusive environments, we can, through simulation and in connection to peer learning, develop capacity to recognize such positive dynamics early on in our peers and students. That means that we, as facilitators, also need to be constantly reflective about our own values and practice. Are we ready for that?
